I’m doing a lecture and workshop this evening at Lux/Eros Gallery in Venice. The first hour will be a conversation about my work and general conceptual art practices followed by an hour workshop where the public will be invited to learn about the basics of conceptual art making and create a work with a self-guided group critique at the end. I will be guiding the workshop along with the help of Joslin Van Arsdale, the curator of the current exhibition and, Desa Fasiska, the director of Lux/Eros Gallery.
If you’re in Los Angeles and feel like driving out to Venice for an evening of talking about and, making some art, please feel free to come by. There will be free beer provided by Beck’s and maybe some snacks?
The gallery would like to make sure I tell you that I curse like a sailor and often show images containing nudity in case you’re thinking it’d be “cute” or “fun”to bring the kids or your grandma something. Don’t say I didn’t fucking (see?) warn you later when your kid is crying and freaking out because he/she saw pictures of my penis or a bloody head injury projected gigantically on the wall.
See you there! The details are below!
